Photo contest highlights what it is like to live in Star Valley
SVI Media has held the Day in the Life photo contest for several years. It allows anyone to capture moments on June 23, 24, and 25, that show what life in Star Valley is like.
Don’t submit highly-edited photos, as they won’t be considered for the contest. Send your top photos to Amanda Nelson at AmandaN@svinews.com. Photos need to be submitted by 10:00 a.m. Monday morning to be considered. Include the name of the photographer in the email for credit. Your photo(s) may be featured in The Star Valley Independent!
The first place photo will be published as the winner, with the winning photographer claiming the prize of four tickets to the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper, Utah.
There are many events going on this weekend with the Afton Freedom Festival and Alpine Mountain Days, so don’t forget to capture a moment or two and send them by Sunday at midnight.

Other ideas for photos could be a walk in town, hiking, working on the farm, playing with the kids, family celebrations, visiting sites throughout the valley, working at the office or at a job site, and much more! Get creative, and have fun capturing what it’s like living in Star Valley.
