It’s Dyer’s Woad Week in Lincoln County

Monday, June 26 though Wednesday, June 28 is Dyer’s Woad Week in Star Valley. The Lincoln County Weed & Pest is once again paying 50 cents per pound for anyone age 18 and under to bring in the noxious plant to be disposed of. Bags can be picked up at the Lincoln County Weed & Pest Offices in Afton or Cokeville. Once filled the bags can be brought back, weighed and payment will be given.

Dyer’s Woad is a non-native weed that, if left unchecked, has the ability to over-run local vegetation. The program is part of Lincoln County’s efforts to control the intrusive plant. For additional details contact the Lincoln County Weed and Pest at (307) 885-9333.
