Star Valley High School has a new head coach for their boys basketball program. Matt Shumway was announced as the new man last night at the board meeting for Lincoln County School District No 2. Shumway has spent the last 12 years at Preston High School as a teacher and assistant coach. Shumway fills the position which was open after the resignation of Mitch Schwab. The Braves were the 4A West Regional champions before being upset in the opening round of the state tournament by Gillette.
Shumway will be the third head coach for the Braves in a three-year span after the resignation of Paul Kabonic following the 2021-22 season and Schwab at the end of last season.
