Students and Staff at Lincoln County School District No. 2 are gearing up for the 2023-24 school year. Teachers are returning August 14, and students begin classes August 21. There is no school district-wide on August 25. Star Valley schools have no school September 1, 4 and 15. Cokeville schools have no school September 1, 4, 15 and 22.

Sports physicals are due before students will be allowed to participate in ANY practices for athletic activities. Forms can be found at lcsd2.org.
Some bus boutes have changed. Families affected by the change should have received communication regarding the changes directly from the Transportation Department via email. For bus route information, visit lcsd2.org under the District and then Transportation tabs.

Star Valley Middle School is hosting a Back to School open house on Wednesday, August 16 from 4-6 p.m. This will be a great opportunity to receive schedules, meet teachers, see classrooms, find lockers, and familiarize yourself with the school. Fall sports will begin August 21. Concussion screenings must be completed by all new 8th grade students and all 7th grade students planning to play football or volleyball. Cokeville High School Picture Day is September 12. Homecoming is scheduled for September 25-29, with the Homecoming Varsity Football Game against the Mountain View Buffalo at 1 p.m.
Star Valley High School Freshman Orientation is August 17 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A Back to School Dance is scheduled for August 24 from 8:30-11:30 p.m. Picture Day is Wednesday, September 6. Homecoming Week is September 18-22. Wednesday, September 20 is the Mr. SVHS Contest in the SVHS auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The Homecoming Parade is scheduled for Thursday, September 21 at 6:15 p.m. followed by Powder Puff Games at 7:30 on the Braves Field. The Varsity Homecoming Game is Friday, September 22 against the Evanston Red Devils with kick-off at 7 p.m. The Homecoming Dance is scheduled for Saturday, September 23 from 7:30-11:30 p.m.
