BEAR LAKE COUNTY — A Utah man has been reported missing and could potentially be in Idaho.
Paul Illum, 50, was last heard from on Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. and was reported missing by family members. He lives in Brigham City, Utah, according to Brigham City Police Department spokeswoman Crystal Beck.
“His (family member) said on the 8th that he seemed out of it and was not acting normal. He doesn’t appear to be a danger to anyone. He has suffered a traumatic brain injury (this year),” Beck said.
Beck told EastIdahoNews.com that Illum has been entered into the National Crime Information Center as a missing person.
His phone was last pinged in Garden City, Utah, on Nov. 8. He passed the Minnetonka Market & Cafe in St. Charles, Idaho, in his vehicle, according to surveillance video.
His AirPods were then pinged in Paris, Idaho.
An official at the Bear Lake County Sheriff’s Office told EastIdahoNews.com that they were made aware of Illum, and deputies searched the area of the AirPod ping but were unable to locate anything.
Beck says Illum has property in Bancroft, and family members have been searching for him in Idaho.
Caribou County Sheriff Adam Mabey told EastIdahoNews.com that deputies searched the area in Bancroft and did not find Illum or his vehicle.
Beck says Illum was reported to be in a white 2018 Honda Accord with Utah plate number G682MU.
He is described as 6’2, around 200 to 210 pounds, and has blue eyes and gray hair. According to a Facebook post from his family, his hair is buzzed.
