Ross A Harrison was born on July 25, 1939 in Afton, Wyoming to Albon and Dora Harrison. Ross was welcomed by his older sister Wynee and his younger brother Joel joined the family eight years later.

Ross was raised in Afton, Wyoming and had a love for motorcycles and cars. He was raised in a loving home and learned how to work and serve others. Ross leaves behind many wonderful, cherished memories and a legacy of service and love.

He peacefully bid farewell to this world on December 6, 2023 surrounded by his family at the age of 84.

Ross married his high school sweetheart Karen Gardner on April 16, 1959, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Shortly after, they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where they raised their four children.

Ross had a great career in the elevator industry. He retired as the service manager of Thyssen Krupp Elevator Co after 35 years of service. He was looked up to by many in the industry.

Ross was a man who could fix anything! He was able to help many people with his ability and willingness to serve others.

Ross is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings throughout his life. He was truly a man who served the Lord and had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ. Ross and Karen were able to serve multiple service missions throughout the Salt Lake Valley.

Ross’s greatest joy in life was his family. He leaves behind a lasting legacy through his children. Allen Harrison (Joy), Cheryl Goodsell (Nathan), Robert Harrison (MaryAnn), and Catherine Andrews (Justin).

Ross was not only a father but a guiding light, imparting wisdom, love and enduring values to his children. Ross was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great- grandfather and a friend to all. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Ross’s family continued to grow and flourish, and he took immense pride in his 18 grandchildren and 20 (soon to be 21) great-grandchildren. His love and warmth have extended to each generation creating a strong family bond that will endure the test of time. In addition to his wife and children Ross is survived by his brother Joel Harrison, with whom he shared a lifetime of camaraderie, laughter and shared experiences. Ross’s passing leaves a void in the Harrison family that will be deeply felt, but his spirit will continue to resonate through the bonds of family and shared experiences.
