• Free event to “Give back” to the community will be December 22 and 23 in Thayne.

Olivia Heiner and her family started the Live Nativity four years ago after the overwhelming support of friends, family, neighbors and community members following the death of their son, Clyde.

With such a support and success over the past years, Heiner shares that this year will be similar to past year’s events with cookies and hot chocolate in the barn as groups come in to wait for their turn to see the nativity.

There will be four horse-drawn sleighs that will lead attendees down a fire-lit path to the Live Nativity scene, which will feature Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, Wise Men, Shepherds and animals.

There will also be a recording of a child reading the nativity story from Luke Chapter 2. This recording will be playing as onlookers view the Live Nativity.

Any donations made this year will be going to a local family in need.

The event is free and is located at 2752 Thayne Bedford Rd in Thayne.
