Cooking With Music Chef Marco Soliz says he is catering for the Alpine Dinner Dance event Saturday February 10 starting at 4 p.m. in the Alpine Civic Center.
He says the band that will be performing is called Borrow Time and they will play music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. So, you’ll get dinner and music and he says they will be serving Spanish Tapas for food.
“You’re going to get on the menu for this event, you’re going to have buffalo and elk street enchiladas,” Soliz said. “Wild boar tamales, you’ll get all the other fixings with the rice and the beans on the side.”
He says they will also be serving wine and beer so you will need to be 21 to attend the event. He says they will turn the Alpine Civic Center into what looks like a supper club with draped curtains and soft lights.
He says you can go to his website, cookingwithmusic.net and go through PayPal to reserve a spot for dinner or you can contact him at 307-699-1645.
“The seating is very limited there,” Soliz said. “There are 188 that we can accommodate there. Please call early enough because if you get to the door and you want to buy tickets at the door, you might be out of luck.”
He says the band is from outside the Cowboy state, but they play musicians like Eddie Money, Little River Band, Eric Clapton, and many others. He says he knows music and has played some during his career as a chef and music artist.
“When I get done cooking,” Soliz said. “I jump in with the band.
He said some of the proceeds will go to charities that need some help. He says his mindset is it can’t always be “take, take, take” and you must give back.
He says he is licensed and insured in every county in Wyoming to do these dinner-concert shows. If you want to host your own event with Cooking With Music, you can contact him at his website or by phone.
