• Remembering the settlement of Star Valley.
The Star Valley Historical Society will return to the settlement days when some areas were known, as they are by many today as “string” areas.
The Thursday, February 15 meeting at 7 p.m. in the Salt River Senior Center will focus on two of these areas in Star Valley.
Vanette Dana Jensen and Gayle Hebdon Hyde will talk about the Muddy String area east of Thayne and Ron Anderson will talk about Nield String west of Afton.
The public is invited to attend and share their memories of these Star Valley area.
The March 21 meeting will feature guest speakers Karen Fluckiger and Ron Anderson as they discuss historical state archives and interviews that have conducted for that resource.
