• Grant sought to re-build road in Alpine.
The Town of Alpine is developing a Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) grant application.
If successful, the grant will be used to re-build Greys River Road within the Town of Alpine. Greys River Road was first paved in 1970 and was associated with a WYDOT Project.
On January 6, 1982, the Greys River County Road was established by Resolution. On September 8, 1989, the Greys River County Road was terminated by Resolution as it now fell within the incorporated boundaries of the Town of Alpine (Incorporation date: February 2, 1989).
How can you help?
If anyone has old photos of the Greys River Road when it was first paved, would you be willing to share them with the Town of Alpine?
You can add them to the comments on this project, or you can bring them into town hall to scan.
Please share with the town how vital this project is both to the Town of Alpine and to visitors accessing the Bridger-Teton National Forest — Greys River Ranger District.
Please include photos of your adventures on the Greys.
Add your comments to this the town’s posting, email to Clerk@alpinewy.gov or put it in writing and drop it off at Town Hall.
The application is due April 15. Comments are due by Mar. 31, 2024.
Please Note: Submissions may become part of the FLAP Grant Application.
