• Claims $250 Grand Prize
Elizabeth Erickson was voted the winner of the second annual Star Valley Kids Got Talent, held Thursday, March 21 at the Afton Ford Theatre. Erickson was selected as the winner by audience vote and claimed the $250 grand prize. She impressed both judges and the audience with her stunning performance on the cello. In addition, Erickson was voted as the best performer in the music category, earning her an additional $100. Kenna Dance was voted as the best performer in the dance category where she also earned a $100 award.
The event was organized by the Salt River Arts Society who oversees the historic Afton Ford Theatre. A total of ten contestants, in grades 6-8, competed with a variety of acts from vocal solos, instrumental performances, dancing, acting and even rapping. Contestants were selected through an online audition process.
Along with Erickson and Dance, the other eight performers included Alyssa Richards, Bryan Flud, Chevelle Haynes, Ethan Dutton, Faith Hobbs, Clarissa Arbizu, Mary Erickson and McKaty Dance. The evening was hosted by David Cazier.
