• Bowling event took place in Cheyenne.

A total of four teams from Star Valley made the trip to Cheyenne this past weekend to compete for the state championship of bowling.

According to information provided by the Star Valley Bowling Association (SVBA) there were 40 teams from the Cowboy State who were competing with teams needing to earn a spot in the top-five of their division to get a chance to bowl on Sunday’s championships.

The quartet of Tynlee Robinson, Justus Dudley, Kasin Mangum and Harli Mangum earned their spot for Sunday and then took advantage of the opportunity by winning the State championship.

“These four kids that were on a team all year bowled their title hearts out,” stated Amy Hansen. “They showed up on Sunday ready to roll and they did just that!”

Hansen also expressed appreciation to all the sponsors who helped make the season and the trip possible.

“Thank you to all the sponsors that have helped us on this amazing journey,” she said.
