Preparation continues on the Strawberry Road/U.S. 89 intersection in the Star Valley Narrows.
Bids are expected to go out in August with an early start coming in September, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.
Lincoln County is coordinating the project with land owners in the area and WYDOT as part of the preregistrations for the changes at the heavily used intersection.
The intersection is known for several accidents over the years.
Previous county commissions and WYDOT have studied the accidents at the site that has a blind corner south on U.S. 89.
When complete Strawberry Road will be straightened and the intersection will be closer to the Narrows rest area.
