WHY YOUR STORY PODCAST: Dutch Oven Cooking

This week on the Why Your Story Podcast, Travis Osmond and Mary Jo Parker invite Steve Parker into the studio to talk about summertime Dutch Oven Cooking. Below is one of Steve’s favorite Dutch Oven recipes.

Steve’s Beans (call if you have any question no really) 307-690-8266

Ingredients
Bacon 1# or more if you like bacon
Onion (large)
Garlic powder, do not use garlic salt,
Course ground pepper
Canned beans all types (black, pinto, white, kidney, all drained and washed
Worchester sauce ½ cup
Brown sugar (depends how sweet you like it.
Peppers, (green, red, yellow)
1 can Whole kernel corn
Cup of water

Cook in Dutch oven.
Cut bacon in 1-inch pieces cook bacon for a few minutes then add onions,
Chop onion add to bacon add course pepper and garlic powder, do not over cook bacon it cooks with
the beans.
Add beans, Worchester, water, brown sugar, peppers, corn, add more garlic powder,
Stir every 15 minutes.
Get ingredients to a boil.
Let simmer until it thickens.
