Two local athletes who recently competed on the national stage joined Duke & Dahl during SVI Radio’s First Bank of Wyoming Sports Friday on June 21. Recent Star Valley High School Graduate Valerie Jirak, who has committed to compete at Duke University this upcoming school year, talked about winning the national championship in the Heptathlon during the Nike Outdoor Nationals in Eugene, Oregon. Star Valley High School Senior Jase Burton also called into the show. Last weekend Burton placed in the top 20 in the 2-Mile at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals.
