• Home Grown, a Family of Flair to have grand opening this Saturday

Jennifer Woody, along with her significant other Jeffery Edwards, center their business model on giving back with Home Grown, A Family of Flair, which opened in July of this year.

The duo is committed to integrating community support into their business model, making a positive impact through their sales and outreach.

Starting out as a children’s clothing store known as Kiddos Place, the shop has transformed into much more, including its new name. Home Grown has items for the entire family, including backpacks, shoes, clothing, pickleball equipment, locally made goods, home goods and much more.

After purchasing Make-Your-Own-Happy, Woody was excited to continue the former businesses focus of giving back, which includes purchasing from businesses that give back to groups and community, including veterans with items from the Til Valhalla Project.

Woody shares, “We want to give back to the community as much as we can.” This will not only include what they sell in-store, but also through sponsoring community members involved in rodeo, FFA, and raising funds for causes.

Home Grown will be having a grand opening this Saturday, August 24, with 25 percent off everything in-store. Woody shares her hope to help those who are struggling with high-prices to feel a little less strain to access new clothing for their children and have Home Grown be a source for them.  She encourages those facing financial challenges to reach out, offering to work with them to access the items they need at affordable prices. Woody highlights the store’s commitment to offering daily sales, ensuring there’s always something discounted for their customers. “There isn’t a day where there isn’t something on sale,” she notes.

Holidays will also be highlighted in the items available in the store, starting with Halloween. New items are consistently arriving and put out on display.

Their Facebook page is currently under the former business name, “Kiddos Place”, where they post frequently on what their sales are, as well as any updates for the store. Home Grown will be open Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and every other weekend from 11-2 p.m.
