The Open House for the Casper Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will come to a close on Sept. 14, 2024 following just over two weeks of free tours with thousands of visitors attending.
It is the second Temple in Wyoming to the Star Valley Temple which was dedicated on October 30, 2016.
The Casper Temple was announced on April 4, 2021 by Church President Russell M. Nelson. The groundbreaking was held on October 9, 2021.
The temple is set to be dedicated on November 24, 2024 by Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. This beautiful building is a single story building, approximately 10,000 square feet.
Indian Paint brush stained glass windows and flooring are the theme throughout. There are beautiful paintings unique to the area including a winter scene of handcart pioneers and Devil’s Gate.
A Distribution Center/Waiting Room are located on the grounds adjacent to the Temple.
