• Register by Friday. Winning team receives $1,000.
Registration for the Saturday mini golf benefit is open to support Craig McNaughton and his family as the Star Valley teacher suffers from kidney disease, which has led to him being asleep in a Salt Lake City hospital.
McNaughton, lovingly referred to as Mr. Mac, has been in Salt Lake City after suffering complications of kidney disease including having a seizure while at the school. After being life-flighted to Salt Lake, Craig is still not awake and has suffered from a stroke while in hospital.
Alex Ivy, co-owner of PUTTZ and JACZ in Etna, shared the connection her employees have to Mr. Mac’s family. She shared that his wife, Faith is a Star Valley High School cheer coach, coaching several of the young women who work at JACZ.
“We’ve been wanting to host a fall tournament,” shared Ivy, “so we thought ‘what better than a benefit tournament?’.
Proceeds from the tournament entry fee will go to the McNaughton family, so focus can be on Craig and not the financial burden of it all. All proceeds from the entry fee will go directly to Craig, Faith and their family.
The winning team of the tournament will receive a cash prize of $1,000. A barbecue dinner spread will be provided by JACZ.
Registration is $500 for a team of six.
