“Thank you everyone for your quick and amazing donations! We were able to assemble 106 hygiene kits in three days to help out our neighbors in the south,” expressed Tara Wheeler.

Thanks to the incredible kindness of the Afton community, Tara’s hygiene kit donation drive has seen outstanding success! In a short period, 106 hygiene kits and 40 quilts were created and sent to those impacted by the recent hurricanes in the southeast. This remarkable show of support has provided essential items to families during a challenging time.

Tara is deeply appreciative of every contributor, simply stating, “Star Valley is the best.”

Although the initial donation drive has wrapped up, contributions are still being accepted. Tara stresses that every bit helps and that ongoing support remains vital for those facing hardships in their recovery. If you’d like to donate, items can still be dropped off at Tara’s home at 330 Adams St., or you can make a financial contribution via Venmo at @taradaktel.

The spirit of community in Afton shines brightly, and together, we can continue to offer hope and relief to those in need.
