Statewide school threat deemed non-credible

The following is a statement from Lincoln County School District #2 sent at 9:25 a.m. Monday, November 4 regarding a non-credible threat and the responses at both Star Valley High School and Star Valley Middle School.

“Law enforcement was alerted to an external, non-credible threat that was disseminated statewide. In response, as a precautionary measure, both Star Valley High School and Star Valley Middle School initiated lockdown procedures. After a thorough assessment, it was determined that the threat posed no credible danger. Both schools have now transitioned from lockdown to a secure protocol to ensure the continued safety of students and staff. Local law enforcement will maintain an enhanced presence on campus throughout the day to provide additional reassurance to our community. We thank everyone for their cooperation and patience as we prioritize the safety of our schools. We have now transitioned from a secure to a normal school routine. Thank you for your patience.”
