• Funds raised go toward snowmobile safety awareness and serving the community
The Star Valley Sno-Skippers are hosting their annual Cornhole Tournament and Dinner on Friday, December 27, in the Lincoln County Fairgrounds Extension Buildings beginning at 6:30 pm. All funds from the event go to support the Club in their work to serve the snowmobiling community of Star Valley.

The Cornhole Tournament is the Club’s main source of income. With the funds that this event provides, they have purchased two beacon check stations that are now placed at the heads of Dry Creek Canyon and Cottonwood Canyon.
“Those check stations are a good reminder to snowmobilers as they pass by to make sure that their beacon is transmitting and to give them a little reminder that they need to check their local Avalanche conditions and make sure that they are wearing the proper equipment,” said Megan Sainz, representative of the club. “That’s one way we have given back.”
Additionally, with funds from the tournament, the club was able to sponsor a tree with the Star Valley Festival of Trees this season, which raised money to support local food banks. “We do donate to Access Wyoming every year, and that’s important to fight our battles for us to keep local access open for snowmobiles.”
To sign up for the tournament, visit the Star Valley Sno-Skippers Facebook page for information, or they can scan the QR code included with this article. For additional information, please call or text Sainz directly at 307-887-6279.
