2.7 magnitude earthquake reported near Auburn

The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed an earthquake approximately 15 kilometers west-southwest of Auburn in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 25.  The USGS measured the quake at 2.7 magnitude and located it some 4.4 kilometers in depth.
