Making magic happen every day at Swift Creek Trading

A visit from family led to a stick horse ride around Swift Creek Trading in September with Michael Horn and his grandson.

• November 1 marks one year for Michael Horn.

“In a year, it’s been amazing what we’ve been able to accomplish,” said Michael Horn, owner of Swift Creek Trading, in an interview with SVI Media’s Duke Dance on the Weekday Wake-Up.

Horn has continued Swift Creek Trading’s legacy and added to it. “My vision was always to tell the story of Star Valley.” Everything in the store has a story with art and displays done from locals, including the sign out front.

Horn praised the families who embrace the culture of country western living with agriculture, including Joe Nield, Curtis Haderlie, and Jody Shumway families saying, “We desperately need these staples; agriculture, self-reliance, cottage skills.”

With the expansion, Horn decided to bring in different services into the store, including embroidery and a soon-to-be shirt printing area–allowing customers to create their own shirt in seconds.

Horn has spent many years as a professional with marketing and branding. He is excited to take those skills and discover the needs of the community as he continues running Swift Creek Trading. He understands that agriculture, arts, education and the overall culture of Star Valley brings the community together to be successful.

Michael Horn stops by the Halloween Extravaganza this past week.

Horn and his team “make the magic happen every day at The Creek.” Some of his supportive team includes staff, community members, and his family.

If you stop by Swift Creek Trading, be sure to congratulate Michael Horn and his staff on one year of building on its legacy and support of the Star Valley culture for young and old.
