WYO 238 will see partial closure near Auburn

The Wyoming Department of Transportation, along with contract crews from Kilroy, LCC, out of Afton, will be closing a section of WYO 238 near Auburn from road marker 9 to 9.5 the week of April 22 for about 5 days.   The closure is necessary because of the size of the crane needed to set the box culvert.  A detour at this location was not feasible due to complications with utilities and other obstacles.

“The crews feel that the closure is in the best interest of the public so they can speed up the process and insure a safe work zone for everyone,” WYDOT public involvement specialist Stephanie Harsha said.

The overall project encompasses a full-depth reclamation paving operation, along with grading, draining, chip sealing, bridge replacements and other miscellaneous work from road marker 0 to 12.10.

Work is always weather dependent and delays in the schedule are possible.  The completion date for this project is June 30, 2020.

Questions about the work can be addressed at the local WYDOT office at 307-886-3886.

WYDOT would like to remind drivers to slow down in work zones and be alert and cautious of roadside workers.  For more information on road construction, closures and weather conditions, please visit http://www.wyoroad.info.
