Kipp Johnson

Farrell Kipp Johnson (56) husband, dad, grandpa, brother and uncle went home on January 6, 2025. He was surrounded by his loved ones.
Kipp was born on November 18, 1968 to Farrell and Naomi Johnson of Auburn, Wyoming. He joined his older siblings Bobby, Lori, Gina and then later came Tory.
Kipps’ childhood was filled with ranching and hunting camp that his Grandma Hemmert owned and ran. He also enjoyed helping his dad with his cutter team.
In 1991 Kipp got married to the love of his life Melissa Jensen. They had three beautiful girls, Natallie, Kenadee and Kimberly. Kipps biggest dream was to become a dad and he was so excited to fulfill that. He was very proud to be a dad to his three girls and raised them in his outdoor lifestyle.
Later on Natallie and Kenadee gave him the boys he never knew he needed. Stetson and Trace. He truly loved them as his own.
In 1998 Kipp joined the Afton Volunteer Fire Department and that became his new passion. He was on the drill team and competed all across the state. He held many records and loved meeting so many friends. He thought of the firemen as his brothers and cared so much about them and their families.
Kipp owned his own floor covering installation company for 28 years. He truly was the best in the valley and took a lot of pride in his work. Kipp worked alongside his brother Tory who had become his best friend.
Kipp loved the outdoors and the mountains. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Greys River was his second home and you could always find him up camping in the summertime.
Funeral services were held on Saturday January 11, 2025 at 12 noon in the Salt River Ward Chapel. A visitation was held prior to the service from 10-11:45 at the church.
Lloyd Hunsaker

Lloyd F. Hunsaker passed away peacefully at Terrace Grove Assisted Living facility in Logan, Utah on February 8, 2025 surrounded by his four children and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lloyd was born to Leron and Isabel Hunsaker on July 30, 1939 in Smoot, Wyoming. He was the second of seven children.
He attended Star Valley High School where he played in the school band and loved playing football. He attended Snow College on a football scholarship and continued his love of music playing the drums and saxophone in a local band there. After two years at Snow he transferred to Utah State University where he met the love of his life, Eileen Cornaby. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on September 1, 1961. He graduated with his degree in elementary education shortly thereafter and moved to Smithfield where he took a job teaching at Summit Elementary School. Lloyd loved education and had a positive influence on the lives of each and every student who came into his classroom.
While living in Smithfield, Lloyd and Eileen welcomed four children into their home; Shane Lloyd, Christian Hal, Nathan Allen and Joy Lee. In 1980 the Hunsaker’s moved to Smoot, Wyoming where Lloyd took over the family farm and started teaching at Afton Elementary.
Lloyd loved to work as was evidenced by the various jobs he took on throughout his life from a park ranger at Golden Spike National Historic Park and Yellowstone National Park to dock worker at ZCMI to farmer to teacher to security guard and various odd jobs in between. He decided to retire from Afton Elementary and the formal working life in 1999.
In October 2008 his life would change forever when he lost his sweetheart, Eileen, to a sudden, severe stroke. After her death he needed something to occupy his time, so he went to work for his good friend Ed Bruce as a security guard at Simplot Smoky Canyon Mine.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where his favorite calling was being a home teacher.
Lloyd found great joy in the loving associations he had with his 16 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. They all knew that a visit with Grandpa would include the best popcorn on earth, a belly full of fresh raspberries, a Creamie or two, and some exhilarating rides on the golf cart or a 4-wheeler, not to mention some friendly skeet shooting competitions in the backyard. As one granddaughter put it, “A trip to grandpa’s house was way better than Disneyland!”
Lloyd is survived by his son Shane (Gaelynn) of Providence, Utah; son Christian (Geralee) of Fairview, Wyoming; son Nathan (Audra) of Ammon, Idaho; daughter Joy (Tom) Payne of San Tan Valley, Arizona; five grandsons, 10 granddaughters, five great grandsons, four great granddaughters, brothers Kent, Robert, Spencer, Kirk and Mike Hunsaker, sister Ronna Kingston and numerous sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eileen, his father and mother-in-law Allen and Fern Cornaby, his parents Leron and Isabel Hunsaker and his grandson Jaxon Payne.
A celebration of life in Lloyd’s honor will take place in June, his favorite time of the year.
