CHEYENNE (WNE) — Senate Western Caucus Chair Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., applauded EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin for “advancing President Trump’s Day One executive orders and powering the Great American Comeback,” a news release from the caucus said.
“For the past four years, the West was burdened by the crippling Green New Scam policies that throttled American energy and attacked Wyoming coal, oil, and gas production,” Lummis said in the release. “I am thrilled to see Administrator Zeldin take monumental steps to bring jobs back home to the U.S., drive down the cost of living, and unleash American energy.”
Zeldin on Wednesday announced nearly three dozen deregulatory moves that he said would spur the U.S. economy by rolling back rules that have unfairly burdened industry, the Associated Press reported. Many of the moves would affect landmark regulations aimed at protecting clean air and water, including reconsideration of emissions and wastewater standards, vehicle rules, greenhouse gas reporting and more.
