• Explore the enhanced facility and meet visiting Oncologist Dr. Johnson this Thursday
Star Valley Health invites the community to an open house on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to showcase the newly remodeled Oncology and Infusion Center. Chief Nursing Officer Tori Probst, who has served in this role for the past seven years, recently discussed the exciting changes on the Weekday Wake-Up.
The Oncology and Infusion Center has undergone significant renovations, transforming from a small space with just three chairs into a larger, more welcoming environment. Probst said, “We wanted to create a space where they feel comfortable and it was healing. We have a lot of natural light, and we were able to expand it significantly. We have five spaces now, and one of them is completely enclosed, so it is private. You can shut the door, and they can have their own area.”
A key feature of the remodel is the new outdoor entrance, allowing patients to access the center without walking through the main hospital. This entrance is conveniently located just east of the urgent care and provider clinic doors.
During the open house, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the renovated space and meet Dr. Richard Johnson, the visiting oncologist from Intermountain Health. Probst noted, “He comes onsite once a month and then sees patients via telehealth in that space once a week and he will be onsite that night as well.”
“Anyone is welcome to come and walk through that space and see the renovations,” Probst added.
She concluded by expressing gratitude to the community, stating, “Thank the community for their ongoing support as we continue to enhance our service; together we are making great strides to improve the health of everyone here in our community.”
Join Star Valley Health for this special occasion and witness firsthand the improvements made to better serve the community’s health needs.
