Star Gymnastics shines at Wyoming State Championships

Star Gymnastics delivered an outstanding performance at the State Gymnastics Championships this past weekend in Gillette, bringing home multiple top finishes across all levels and age groups; Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. With strong individual performances and impressive all-around scores, the team showcased their dedication and hard work and achieved their personal bests this weekend. As coaches we couldn’t be more proud of the mental toughness and physical strength these young ladies endure.

Team Bronze competitors that scored in the top 10: Breeslynn Dyches, Oaklynn Jenkins, Isabelle Shockey. Bronze Level Highlights: Breeslynn Dyches showcased her strength on Floor, earning 2nd place with (9.375)

Team Silver competitors that scored in the top 10: Kamzlin Bolinder, Scarlet Peterson, Addy Brog, Kambri Trauntvein, Skylee Herd, Olivia Olsen, Janessa Risedor. Silver Level Highlights: Scarlett Peterson secured 2nd place on Beam (9.35) and 3rd All-Around.

Team Gold Competitors that scored in the top 10: Eliza Bassett, Lucy Hirschi, Laila Mosgeller, Ayvree Lewis, Ella Occhi, Scarlet Tipton, India Burch, Kanzis Bolinder, Ivory Weber, Kenna Dance. Gold Level Highlights: 3rd Place Team Award. Eliza Bassett took 1st place on Bars with an impressive (9.5). Lucy Hirschi claimed 3rd place on Floor with a strong (9.525). India Burch performed well on Beam, securing 2nd place. Scarlet Tipton 2nd place on beam with a (9.35). Ella Occhi earned 3rd place on Bars (9.55) and 2nd on Floor (9.5). Ayvree Lewis delivered a stellar performance, finishing 2nd on Bars (9.625), 2nd on Beam (9.45), and 3rd All-Around (37.275). Laila Mosgeller dominated the podium, winning 1st on Vault (9.25) and 1st on Beam (9.45), taking 3rd on Floor (9.35) and finishing 2nd All-Around (37.5).

Platinum Level Highlights: 2nd Place Team Award. Dylan Kallgren, our Graduating Senior, placed 3rd on Beam after missing most of the season due to injury. Saylor Herd secured 2nd place on Bars (9.075). Claira Roesler impressed us with a 1st place finish on Bars (9.45), 3rd on Vault, and 3rd All-Around Katelynn Gaughan had a spectacular meet, placing 3rd on Bars, 1st on Vault (9.2), 1st on Beam (9.15), 1st on Floor (9.525), and 1st in the All-Around!
