
According to information posted on the Alpine Fire Facebook page, area first-responders were on the scene of a call taken on Tuesday morning at approximately 10:12 a.m.
“[The] Alpine Fire District responded to a Dodge pickup that had gone off the road and hit a large tree on County Road 100.,” the post stated. “Upon arrival [we] found the tree on top of the vehicle and the driver was trapped inside. Airbags had deployed and limbs had protruded into the front windshield.”
The Alpine Fire District personnel secured the vehicle and branches were removed using chainsaws. The driver was then assisted out of the vehicle and transported to the Alpine ER of Star Valley Health.
“[The] AFD further removed the tree from the truck and assisted the tow service with removal. [The] driver suffered minor injuries. AFD responded with five members and three eire apparatus.”
The posted concluded by stating that although the roads are dry, drivers still need to be alert and drive with care.
