Lincoln County’s unemployment rate climbed slightly in year-to-date comparisons just released by the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services.
The county’s unemployment rate was 4.0 percent in January of 2025, compared to the 3.5 percent in January of 2024.
A labor force of 10,911 was listed in January of this year, while January of 2024 had 10,627 listed in the labor force.
Unemployment counts indicated 433 in January of this year, while there were 370 in January of the previous year.
Lowest unemployment rates in Wyoming during January of 2025 included Teton County with 2.7 percent, Albany at 3.7 percent and Weston at 3.9 percent.
The counties with the highest unemployment rates were Niobrara at 6.1 percent, and Fremont with 5.5 percent.
The Wyoming statewide unemployment rate was 4.3 percent in January of 2025, compared to 3.6 percent in January of 2024.
