SV Ranch addresses solar and septic ordinances

• Assistance approved for Friends of the B-T

Town ordinances were moved forward in the three-reading process at the Star Valley Ranch April 8 Town Council meeting, one to add another member to the Travel and Tourism Board and change the ordinance related to solar energy and septic systems.

“They passed the second reading,” Council-member Taylor Ellis reported.

The councilman noted improvements in solar power and recent requests by some of the town’s residents  to include solar power alternatives at their homes. The ordinances address roof top and pole placement.

Councilman Ellis said funding assistance was granted to help with Friends of the Bridger-Teton ambassador assignments in the area. The work will involve campground hosts for Grover Park and educational presentations at Star Valley Ranch.

Funding from the Star Valley Ranch Tourism program was used for the positions.

Additional funds will be sought from Afton and Thayne.

Alpine assistance will be directed to programs in Greys River.
