After the first day of the Wyoming State Track and Field Championships, the Star Valley Braves were in first place with 29 points after taking three of the top four spot in the 3200 meter run. BYU-bound Jase Burton won the race and set a new 4A Class and Overall state record with a time of 9:16.08. It broke the former time set by Star Valley’s Peter Visser. University of Wyoming signee, Habtamu Wetzel, was second, earning All-State and junior Coltron Cranney was fourth.
