Rock Church Theater Presents “A Feud For Thought”

The Star Valley Historical Society proudly presents the 32nd season of Rock Church Summer Theater, a beloved local tradition where history, humor, and heart take center stage in Auburn.

This year’s production, A Feud For Thought, written by Ruth Wood and Allene Robinson, is set in 1915 and captures the hilarious turmoil that unfolds when the first automobile rolls into Star Valley. The play serves up a delightful mix of small-town drama, a Romeo-and-Juliet-style romance (without the tragedy), a bewildered city writer from St. Louis, and a sheepdog who’s ironically terrified of sheep.

Performances will be held at the historic Rock Church in Auburn on June 20–21, July 5, July 11–12, and July 18–19. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door and can be purchased with cash, check, or Venmo. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students ages 6–18, and children 5 and under are free. Proceeds will go toward future Star Valley Historical Society projects.

Director Charity Williams shared, “We invite all to come learn a little Star Valley history. Meet Dr. West, who served as the doctor in Star Valley for almost 50 years. Get a little insight into the adventures of the new technology that was springing up in the early 1900s. Enjoy a fun story of people living and trying to be good neighbors in this beautiful valley many call home.”
