Back-to-back slides — first mud, then rock — hit the Intermittent Spring during the summers of 2023 and 2024, forcing the closure of the trail to its mouth. Now, over a year after the last slide, Afton Mayor Jeff Jensen says the trail to the world’s largest intermittent spring is in its best shape yet. Still, the town is preparing a response plan in case another slide occurs. SVI Media’s John Little reports.
