WyoGives raises money across the state for non-profits

 

The sixth annual WyoGives fundraiser, organized and run by the Wyoming Nonprofit Network, took place this past Wednesday and resulted in the highest totals yet for the initiative.

Overall the WyoGives 2025 campaign raised $5,698,881 from 9,401 donors which benefitted 429 organizations.

The first year of 2020 was saw a total of $571,000 for nonprofits according to Wyoming Nonprofit Network Executive Director Jody Shields. Not only were the totals up, so was the number of overall donors. In 2024 there was 7,450 who chose to contribute while this year the number was 9,359.

The WyoGives strategy is not just a fundraising engine, but also one that educates the nonprofits themselves as they learn how to strengthen their outreach ideas and grow their donor base.

“We have more nonprofits that participate [every year] Shields said. “The nonprofits that to this each year, they learn how to best structure their campaign, now to market and reach their [recurring] donors and new donors. So they’ve done a great job growing their own campaigns.”

This year there were five nonprofits from Star Valley who coordinated with WyoGives and benefitted from the fundraiser. The Afton Food Pantry raised $5,970, the Box-H Park raised $1,785, Lincoln Self Reliance raised $1,575, the Star Valley Arts Council raised $7,130 and the Wyoming Arts Development Institute raised $5,010.
