Dr. Kevin Stucki continues with Southwest Wyoming services

Dr. Kevin Stucki, Mountain West Orthopedics, a service of Star Valley Health.

• New building ready in September

After nine years of orthopedic care for the Kemmerer/Diamondville area, Mountain  West Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, will move into a new building serving southwest Wyoming.

Plans call for initial services to be provided in a temporary building that will be placed at the Diamondille corner of Fossil Drive and Lincoln St.  in September, followed by the construction of a permanent building in the spring of 2026.

“This will allow for the services in a Star Valley Health building,” explained Dr. Kevin Stucki. “Prior to this, the practice and services were available at different locations in the hospital.”

He emphasized, “Now, we have a secured place in Diamondville. We’re planning to build a new building, first starting with a temporary building that gets us in there in September.”

Ownership of the building will allow for additional services in the future. “It gives us an opportunity to offer things that we weren’t able to offer before because of limited space. “

Initially, space will be centered on orthopedic care and new services will be added.

“We’ll have a space for someone that does nerve studies,” he explained. “We’ll have a space for them to perform nerve and EMG studies.”

Dr. Stucki continued, “We’ll bring an occupational therapist. We have a certified hand therapist. That will provide care for the people that have had hand surgery and need specialized therapy. Historically, they have had to travel or wait for us to come. We’ll have space for that.”

Dr. Brian McClure, a Pain Management Specialist will also be included at the Diamondville offices.

Outpatient procedures will also be included. “I’ll be doing procedures that don’t need sleep,” Dr. Stucki noted. “Outpatient under local anesthetics.”

In addition, the Diamondville offices will include radiology services.

The first building will have three exam rooms, an ex-ray room and an office.

“This is not  just better health care but access in their own backyard,” Dr. Stucki explained. “As with other clinics, take the health care to them.”

Dr. Stucki pointed out that for the specialized care, patients often had to travel to Park City or Salt Lake City but working with Star Valley Health the services are coming to small Wyoming communities.

He noted, “It’ not just orthopedic care but a fellowship trained hand and upper extremity  surgeon, a fellowship trained sports and joint surgeon. They will  have access to a variety of specialties rather than go to the big university. These are people trained at the big university.”

Dr. Stucki emphasized the orthopedic services and associated health care services have not left the Kemmerer/Diamondiville area.

“We don’t want people to think we have left; we are still here,” as the new facilities will be installed in the coming month.
