No injuries when small plane lands in field near Smoot
No injuries were reported after a small airplane was forced to land in a field near Smoot at roughly 10:30 a.m. Sunday, September 21.
Lincoln County Sheriff Shane Johnson said two people were in the plane. “The pilot chose to sit down in a field after they realized they had landing gear issues,” said Johnson.
The pilot circled the area until running out of gas, at which point they decided to land in the field.
