Emmanuel Bible hosts annual Fall Festival

Star Valley’s Emmanuel Bible Church is hosting the annual Fall Festival on Friday, October 31 from 6-8 p.m. at 53 Tyler Lane, off US-89 north of Thayne. Guests can enjoy a fall celebration in the warmth of neighborly association, food, beverages, games and fun.

EBC has offered the annual festival for over 25 years, providing an environment where the entire family can enjoy the fun of Halloween without the dark elements that tend to emerge during the season.

“We do the same thing every year,” said Associate and Youth Pastor Matt Landis. “We have caramel apples, a baked potato bar with chili, popcorn, carnival games for kids from toddlers to upper elementary school aged kids, and TONS of candy!”

Guests are invited to wear their costumes and circulate through the carnival games as many times as they wish. Everyone in the community is invited to enjoy a warm meal and neighborly connection. Admission is free and the children can fill their candy bags with treats and toys.

“It’s a fun, wholesome activity that is family friendly,” said Landis, “It’s warm and comfortable, and we have tons of candy! We go through tons of candy! I probably have 60 pounds of candy in my office right now and I’m sure I’ll get more in this week. We have yet to ever run out of candy. I am usually giving handfuls of candy to the kids as they go out the door. Another cool thing we do is offer small toys for the kids, like squishy toys, small cars and trucks and bouncy balls. Parents enjoy that.”

Landis thinks it would be great for everyone to go enjoy food and friendship after the football game on Friday evening. “That would be perfect,” he grinned.
