Edwards Law Office is set to host its seventh annual Christmas Coloring Book Competition, eagerly anticipated by families in the area. During a Weekday Wake-up interview, Jack Edwards of Edwards Law Office shared details about this beloved community event that aims to inspire creativity among children and foster local business engagement.
The competition invites children from local schools to color pages from specially printed coloring books, each sponsored by a local business. Participants will submit their colored pages to the sponsors, who will select winners from their entries. This year, the grand prize for the best artwork is a crisp $100 bill, along with the opportunity for the winner to design next year’s coloring book cover. Additionally, there are prizes for teachers and schools with the most entries, further incentivizing participation across the Valley.

Edwards expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “We have seen some awesome stuff from kindergartners all the way up to sixth graders. You would be amazed how talented the kids are here in Star Valley. It is really hard to pick the winners.” He acknowledged the vital role of sponsors, indicating that more than 20 local businesses are participating this year, creating a sense of community spirit and collaboration.
Coloring books will be distributed later this week at local elementary schools, Lincoln County Library locations, and the Edwards Law Office at the Star Valley Community Center in Etna. Edwards noted the encouragement from parents who appreciate the competition as a way to keep kids engaged during the holidays away from screens.
As the festive season approaches, the Coloring Book Competition continues to bring the community together, and Edwards highlighted his motivation behind the event: “It makes us feel good. Community activities, sponsors, and it gets our name out. So it’s just, it’s a big warm hug.”
For more information or to participate, families are encouraged to visit their local schools or libraries to pick up a coloring book.
