SVI Radio Interview: Jaclyn Lechner, Ford Theatre December events
Jaclyn Lechner with the Salt River Arts Society stepped into the SVI Radio studio to promote the December Christmas event schedule at the Afton Ford Theatre.
(0:17) You guys knocked it out of the park once again. (0:19) So good. Thank you so much for putting on that show with the cast.
(0:22) Of course, it’s a blast. We love putting on these community musicals and we’re just grateful for (0:27) the support and that we can keep doing it. (0:29) Well, I’m sure you would like a little bit of a break, (0:31) but I’m already looking forward to next year.
(0:35) Well, Jacqueline, let’s talk about what’s happening at the Afton Ford Theater. (0:37) Salt River Art Society continues to do a great job with lighting up acts. (0:41) And let’s start off with December 6th.
(0:43) And it’s a wonderful life happening on the stage. (0:45) Yeah. So December 6th, we have Riot Act from Jackson.
(0:49) They’re actually bringing their Christmas show down to the Ford Theater for the first time. (0:54) So this will be fun. (0:56) It’s a wonderful life.
(0:57) I was kind of like a radio talk show, which you’re pretty familiar with, (1:01) but it should be a really fun, fun show. (1:05) And we’re excited to kind of work with the Riot Act company up there for the first time. (1:10) Very cool.
It’s a live radio play is how it’s described, right? (1:13) So perfect. That’s December 6th. (1:16) That’ll be a great way to really kick off.
(1:18) I think the Christmas season in early December. (1:20) And then the traditional Michael McLean’s The Forgotten Carols. (1:24) Yes.
Again, again, for our fourth year, we’re bringing it back. (1:28) And so we’ll have The Forgotten Carols December 11th, 12th. (1:32) And then we’re going to take a break.
(1:34) So Star Valley Arts Council can have their performance on the 13th. (1:38) And then we’ll perform again the 15th and 16th. (1:42) Excellent.
Excellent. (1:43) And as far as cast on that, that’s been finalized, I assume. (1:48) Oh, yeah.
(1:48) Who are we going to see on stage for The Forgotten Carols this year? (1:51) Yeah. So we have some people returning again, which is super great. (1:55) We’ve got Katie McEwen and Chad Merritt, of course.
(1:58) He’s done it every year. (2:00) There’ll be Daniel Lechner. (2:02) But we also have some new faces this year.
(2:04) We’ve got James Arbazue is joining us in the cast. (2:08) And we also have Bethany and Autumn Struger are in the cast as well. (2:14) Bailey Simpson, she’s new.
(2:16) And so we’re super excited to kind of grow the cast from what we’ve had in the past. (2:20) So it’s a little bit bigger of a cast. (2:22) So it’ll be fun.
(2:23) Excellent. (2:23) Love it. (2:23) Great tradition.
(2:24) Michael McLean’s The Forgotten Carols. (2:26) That’s December 11th, 12th and 14th, right? (2:30) 15th. (2:30) 15th.
Sorry. (2:31) 11th, 12th and 15th. (2:32) And 16th.
(2:33) And the 16th at the Afton Ford Theater. (2:34) You can get all the dates online, of course, with your tickets at saltriverarts.com. (2:39) And then, of course, we’ve had Mark McKay at the Ford Theater for a couple of years. (2:42) Looks like he’s on his way back.
(2:43) Yeah. (2:43) He said he loves coming to Afton and he loves performing at the Ford Theater. (2:47) So we’re really excited to have him back.
(2:50) And he’s got a fun Christmas lineup for us this year. (2:53) So. (2:53) Very cool.
(2:54) That’s December 22nd with Mark McKay. (2:58) All those events happening in December at the Afton Ford Theater. (3:01) As always, get dates, tickets, details at saltriverarts.com.
