Forgotten Carols musical returns to the Ford

Michael McLean’s Christmas musical, “The Forgotten Carols,” returns to the Ford Theatre in downtown Afton December 11, 12, 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. each night. A seasonal favorite, “The Forgotten Carols,” offers a story of redemption and forgiveness for a woman who believes herself to be unworthy of God’s grace and love.

“We are so excited to have yet another great holiday season at the Ford that features our 4th Annual performance of ‘The Forgotten Carols,’” said producer Jaclyn Lechner. We are excited to have a new director, Jessica Rassmussen, who brings new ideas, and opportunities for the cast. This year’s cast brings some familiar faces and some new faces to the Ford Theatre stage!”

“The Forgotten Carols” shares the story of a nurse whose life has been burdened with grief and disappointment. When she is assigned to attend to cheerful, elderly John, she begins to see life and her own value through the eyes of characters in the Nativity story. Through song, forgotten characters from the Nativity, such as the Innkeeper and a Shepherd, help her rediscover the joy and true meaning of Christmas.

“Come join us for a magical night,” said Lechner. “Share the spirit of Christmas with us through the beloved ‘Forgotten Carols’.”
