The Star Valley Health Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce a generous donation of $3,000 from the Rotary Club, aimed at supporting its Breast Cancer Fund. This fund provides uninsured patients with the opportunity to receive their initial mammogram screenings, ensuring vital early detection for those who might otherwise be unable to afford such services.

For years, the Rotary Club has been a steadfast partner of the Breast Cancer Fund, demonstrating a strong commitment to women’s health in the community. This latest contribution reflects not only their continued generosity but also their belief in the importance of preventive health care.

Mike Hunsaker, COO of Star Valley Health, expressed gratitude for the Rotary Club’s ongoing support: “Star Valley Health is grateful to have community organizations like the Rotary Club of Star Valley who are concerned about women’s & men’s health and their ability to get annual check-ups. This program allows individuals who are either uninsured or underinsured to get mammography screenings for free or at a reduced cost. Our partnership with the Rotary Club of Star Valley Rotary has enabled many individuals in our community to receive screenings ensuring their good health. We cherish this partnership with the Rotary Club!”

The funds provided by the Rotary Club will help cover the costs of mammography screenings for women in need, significantly enhancing access to essential health services in the Star Valley area. This initiative not only promotes early detection of breast cancer but also empowers women to take charge of their health without the burden of financial strain.

As October was recognized nationally as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the timing of this donation couldn’t be more poignant. The Rotary Club and Star Valley Health continue to advocate for comprehensive health services and encourage women to prioritize their health through regular screenings.

Together, these organizations are making strides to ensure that no woman in Star Valley is left without the care she needs. The contributions made by the Rotary Club play a crucial role in fostering a healthier community, one screening at a time.
