Kemmerer and Diamondville are set to embark on an important initiative to update their comprehensive plan, a process that takes place every five to eight years. According to Brian Muir, Kemmerer City Administrator, the last comprehensive plan was created in 2018, and now is the ideal time to reassess the future for both municipalities.
A joint special meeting will take place on Wednesday, August 20 at the South Lincoln Events Training Center from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Allison Tompkins, the planner. The meeting aims to gather insights on future land use, transportation, and potential annexation needs. Residents are encouraged to attend and observe the discussions.
Muir highlights the significance of this planning effort: “We’re looking at infrastructure needs and growth over the next seven to ten years.” With changes in the community since the last plan, the updated strategy will be crucial in guiding south Lincoln County’s development.
This comprehensive meeting will provide a platform for residents to engage with the future, ensuring that the community’s needs and aspirations are reflected in the planning process.
