Star Valley Chamber featuring Rob Hill for January Lunch & Learn

The Star Valley Chamber of Commerce plans to welcome Mr. Rob Hill from the University of Wyoming for its January Lunch & Learn. Professor Hill is in UW’s School of Teacher Education and is the Everett D. and Elizabeth M. Lantz Distinguished Professor of Practice and Technical Education.

According to his bio on uwyo.edu, Mr. Hill is “an alumnus of the University of Wyoming’s Career and Technical Education program. His primary areas of interest include preparing Career and Technical Education teachers with emerging technologies that align to industry, CTE state and federal policy and funding, and workforce safety training for workers entering industry. Prior to teaching, Mr. Hill worked in the multi-family construction sector.

“He taught building trades at the secondary level in Casper, Wyoming at the Transitions Learning Center and the Pathways Innovation Center. He also taught courses at Casper College in the Construction Technologies program. He is an Authorized OSHA Trainer.”

Mr. Hill currently serves as the Public Policy Chairman for the Wyoming Association for Career and Technical Education and is the Board President of Wyoming SkillsUSA. He was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Wyoming Association for Career and Technical Education in 2024 and is also the past Teacher of the Year, and Innovative Program awardee from the organization. Hill has also been recognized with the Arch Coal Teacher Achievement award and the 307 Community award.

The event will be held on Monday, January 26 at 12:00 noon in the Lincoln County School District #2 Administration Building, located at 360 Jefferson St. in Afton.
