The 2026 WHSAA State Spirit Competition took place on Friday, January 23 at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper. Star Valley High School’s Brave Cadettes and Cheer Team both competed in the 4A classification. While neither team brought home any hardware, the SVHS Cheer Team was give the Good Sportsmanship of the Year award.

Around Lincoln County, the Cokeville Panthers Cheer and Dance team also performed, with Coach Stace Clark being named the 1A/2a Cheer Coach of the Year. While neither team finished in the top 3 in their categories, the performances can be still be seen on the Star Valley Independent Facebook page.

In southern Lincoln County, Kemmerer High School finished as the runner-up in 2A Game Day Cheer. Kemmerer Cheer and Dance performances can be found on the SVI Kemmerer Facebook page.
