The Thayne Branch Library is hosting a Galentine’s Day Creative Junk Journaling Class in the library at 250 Van Noy Parkway inside the Thayne Community Center on Saturday, February 7 from 10 a.m. to noon.
According to Rosa Montano, a library representative, “Junk Journaling is scrapbooking,” with a unique twist. A junk journal is a “highly personalized book, created with a mixture of recycled, repurposed and rebound materials.”
Montano invites “all the Star Valley Ladies” to attend this event that is offered free of charge, with all materials provided, for women to gather and create something meaningful and unique to them with their journals. “Everyone is invited – anybody who is interested in having a day of downtime and friendship and kindness and making connections. People can come by themselves and make friends or bring a friend along to enjoy this wonderful two-hour class.”
“It’s all about creativity,” said Montano. Seating is limited. Please call the library at 307-883-7323 to reserve your spot.
