Slated for March 20 at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds, the event features a concert with country artist Brenn Hill and a meal of Circle H Wagyu Beef.
Hill is “looking forward to being back in beautiful Star Valley, Wyoming” where his music will gather support for the Star Valley FFA and 4-H, and the agricultural way of life.
“It means everything to me and that’s why I do what I do,” Hill said in an interview on the SVI Radio Network. “We have got very few artists telling that story these days, and it’s such an important story. There are people dedicating their lives to putting food on our tables and clothes on our backs – so many of them from the great state of Wyoming and so many of them from Star Valley, and I really take it upon myself to try to tell their story the best I can.”
Guests can expect a traditional western-style meal, with Wagyu beef, a side of potatoes, peppers and onions, with “John Colter Baked Beans,” a cookie and strawberry lemonade. The show offers music that celebrates the tradition of agriculture and the beauty of Wyoming. Hill plans to debut a new song about John Colter who discovered some of Wyoming’s most beloved natural wonders, including Yellowstone. One hundred percent of proceeds from the event will be donated to the Star Valley FFA and 4-H programs.
“For anybody who has had a kid in FFA or 4-H, you know how much they do for a kid in those formative years and how much they do to get kids interested and staying in agriculture. I think that’s what this is all about. We are trying to get kids who grow up in Star Valley and agriculture to see that as a viable means to move forward and keep that heritage and tradition alive and keep putting food on our tables and clothes on our backs. It is so important to me. It is our future – it really is.”
Much of Hill’s music is inspired by the Star Valley land and people. “I’ve got a song called “Greys River Road,” you know, and that area is so important to me and such a big part of my music. I’m a high energy show, me and six strings and my stomper, putting my heart and soul into every concert. It is what I love to do the most.”
Tickets prices are available at $35 per person, with VIP Experience Tickets at $65 per person. Concert admission tickets are $25. Tickets are available at Swift Creek Trading, 431 North Washington in Afton, or at SwiftCreekTrading.com.
I appreciate our sponsors and I appreciate the folks and their support of 4-H and FFA in Star Valley, Wyoming,” Hill concluded. “Looking forward to it.”
