Brandon Taylor, Chairman of the Lincoln County Fair Board, stepped into the SVI Radio studio on Wednesday, March 11 to discuss the process of securing Wyoming’s own Ian Munsick as the headliner act of this year’s Lincoln County Fair. The concert will take place on Friday, July 31. Tickets go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13 at LincolnCountyFair.info.

(0:00) Been sitting on this for a couple weeks now. I mentioned to a few people yesterday, we (0:06) started, of course, this process. In fact, standing in the arena last year while we were doing sound (0:11) check for Chris Lane, I talked to our promoter and I said, man, if we could Gideon Munsick next year, (0:19) it’d be unbelievable.

And he said, let’s give it a shot. And so starting as early as August (0:25) of last year, and then really meaningful discussion started in October. And I’ll be (0:31) honest, it was a roller coaster.

There were a lot of times that we didn’t think this was going to (0:35) work or we didn’t think we can make this happen. And so for it all to come together is really, (0:40) really exciting. I mean, you know, he headlined Frontier Days last year, right? And so I think (0:46) it’s safe to say that no one has headlined Frontier Days year one and then year two come (0:52) to the Lincoln County Fair, right? And so that is just really, really exciting to have someone (0:56) of his caliber.

And best of all, he’s a Wyoming homegrown guy. And so we just could not be more (1:03) excited to have him here. Well, and based on the reaction on social media yesterday, I think people (1:09) are quite excited as well.

So it’s happening July 31st is the night of the concert at the fair. (1:16) Tickets go on sale pretty quick, right? Yeah. Friday, Friday morning at 10 a.m. on sale to (1:21) the general public.

Now, if you are a season, a previous season ticket holder, an email was sent (1:27) to you yesterday, which will give you a pre-sale access starting this morning. So they’ll have 24 (1:33) hours. Well, more than that all day today and tomorrow to get their tickets and that before (1:38) the general on sale Friday morning.

But we encourage everyone to get your tickets early (1:42) and fast. And, you know, we hope that you know and love Ian Munsick already, but we’re confident (1:49) that if you don’t know him yet, that you will be happy to to know him. And we my wife and I’ve (1:55) seen him a couple of times.

And man, he is a great as he is on the radio and on, you know, on your (2:01) iPhone. He’s even better live. It just puts on an incredible show.

And so get your tickets come out. (2:07) Please support us. I’ll be honest, when you get someone of his caliber, it’s it doesn’t come (2:14) without a cost.

And so we need as much community support as we can get your family from out of (2:19) town to come visit you for the weekend, buy tickets, come out and please enjoy premier (2:25) country music. Absolutely. And I would say don’t wait until July to get tickets because this is (2:32) going to be a pretty hot item.

People are going to want it. So so get them Friday. Just make sure (2:35) you have them in.

Yeah, absolutely. And we are we’re casting a wide net. We’re going to be on (2:40) the radio in the region and Idaho Falls and Preston in the area because he is a big regional (2:45) draw.

And he just headlined the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls a few weeks ago. He was (2:51) at the Casper event center a couple nights before that. I mean, he plays big arenas.

And so he’s got (2:58) a big regional draw. And so to have someone like him here in Afton Yes, absolutely. Please get your (3:03) as soon as possible and come out and enjoy tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday morning.
