Azar House wraps up nearly a decade of service in Star Valley

After nearly nine years of serving families and women throughout the valley, Azar House Pregnancy Resource Center has officially closed its doors. The center stopped seeing clients on December 31, 2025, and has spent the past few months completing its final clean-up and transition work.

Founded in 2017, Azar House offered free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting classes, and material assistance such as baby clothes and supplies. Throughout the years, roughly a dozen volunteers served at any given time, assisting and helping countless women and families.

While the closure marks the end of an era for the Star Valley-based nonprofit, the heart behind its mission remains intact. Staff members have continued helping quietly as the shutdown process wraps up, ensuring families in need still have somewhere to turn.

Sarah Collins, Executive Director of Azar House, shared that the center always felt deeply supported by the Star Valley community. “We’ve always felt very loved and appreciated,” she said, expressing gratitude for the steady encouragement and donations the ministry received over the years. She reiterated, “It is not a lack of support that we decided to close our doors; we just felt we were being underutilized by the community.”

For those seeking similar support, Collins recommends Compass Women’s Care in Jackson, which offers the same services Azar House provided—free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and guidance for expectant mothers. The community can also contact their local church leaders to get in contact with Sarah, who will continue to assist on her own time.

Azar House’s departure leaves a noticeable gap in the valley, but its legacy of compassion and care for women and families will continue to ripple through Star Valley’s tight-knit community.
