The Lady Braves wrapped up their 2025-26 basketball season with an impressive 49-19 victory over the Sheridan Lady Broncs to capture the 4A Consolation trophy in Casper on Saturday.

What promised to be a battle between two of the top ranked defenses in the state over the course of the season, played out as a showcase of the Lady Braves’ dominance, as the Lady Broncs scored just six point in the first half. Meanwhile, the Star Valley girls played a complete game as nine different players made it into the scoring column, including all six seniors.

Ambrey Nelson was a whirlwind on both ends of the court, scoring 11 points and hauling down eight rebounds. She also netted four steals and had three assists. Junior Avery England scored nine points and had four rebounds and three assists while Camryn Mackey hit a pair of three-point baskets and finished with eight points. Junior Morgan McGee chipped in with six points as well.

The team shot 40% from the three-point line with five different players making a long-distance basket and also made 15 of their 16 free throws.

The win captured the Star Valley Lady Braves program their first trophy in the 4A classification as the team finished the season with a record of (18-10) overall. Seniors on the team included Nelson, Mackey, Livy Kleeman, Ruby Hill, Ari Foster and Keira Allred.
